My name is Margo.  

I have a passion for helping others who have experienced trauma in their lives. For many years I have supported couples navigating their way through betrayal trauma and sexual addiction, along with other martial challenges such as communication, lack of trust, low self-esteem, and childhood trauma.  In addition to that, for over 30 years, I have been a nurse working with families and their newborns who have had to spend time in the newborn intensive care unit.  

As a supervised clinician finishing my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at S.O.L.E. Counseling, I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you as you face your very personal challenges.  I choose S.O.L.E. Counseling because of their emphasis on survival of trauma-related issues.  

I want you to experience empathy and compassion for yourself and I want you to feel it from me, whether or not you are the betrayed or the betrayer.  I want to help you remember your value and worth.  I want to help you understand the myriads of emotions that arise from trauma, grief, loss, and betrayal.  I want to help you understand the emotional triggers that seem to come out of nowhere.  I want to help you find tools which will support your personal healing and growth.  

I want to create a safe place for you to work through your challenges, without judgment.  You have inside you a powerful ‘self’ that has become blocked by your trauma, grief, or loss.  Together I will help you identify these blocks, identify tools and build skills using Internal Family Systems Theory, Emotion Focused Individual Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
