Addictions
Addictions can be of a destructive intimate nature causing deep personal and relational wounds. These include addictions like pornography, other forms of sexually acting out, gambling, and substances. During our sessions or group work, we will address these important issues. Likewise, we'll help you to:

- Understand why addicts act out despite adverse consequences.
- Gain an understanding of how to resolve deeper issues that have impacted your addiction.
- Gain perspectives and insights to help you reach your sobriety goals.
- Obtain the tools for lasting recovery and a fulfilling future.
Trauma
Anxiety and depression are common obstacles and challenges that can keep us from enjoying life to the fullest. I will assist you in identifying and healing from the following:
- Frequent feelings of nervousness and anxiety
- Avoidance of people and places due to fear
- Intensive negative self talk
- Chronic low self-esteem
- Persistent sad or negative mood
Relationships
Cultivating healthy and fulfilling relationships is an essential part of my practice. I enjoy helping couples move from distance and disconnection to safety and trust. Together we will learn how to:
- Recognize unhealthy interactions
- Create strong emotional bonds
- Forgive injuries
- Keep love alive and thriving
EMDR Therapy
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It was originally meant to reduce symptoms such as hyper-vigilance and intrusive memories. EMDR achieved timely results in its original clinical trials in the late 1980s that withstood six-month follow-ups.
Today, it is viewed by many leading psychology experts as a non-substance or other invasive alternatives to treatment.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy is a short-term form of therapy that focuses on adult relationships and attachment/bonding. The therapist and clients look at patterns in the relationship and take steps
EFT is a tool that we use at SOLE Counseling. Our therapists highly recommend it due to its powerful ability to create, repair, and strengthen a person's relationship bonds.
Group Therapy
Group therapy has a long, rich history in the field of mental health, peppered with names like Rogers, Bion, Lewin, and Yalom. A few decades ago people spoke of powerful experiences in encounter groups, and psychodrama groups.
We can help you determine if group therapy is the right treatment for you as part of your recovery or healing plan.
